TeamSpeak Setup

This guide is a complete walkthrough on how to register, install and connect onto teamspeak. I have made it as simple and easy to understand as possible.

Firstly you should register for teamspeak from the main site which is linked below:

Here is a simple walkthrough on how to register. (Follow the relevant illustrations)

1. Click on the "register" button as shown below, it's situated towards the right hand side of the screen:


2. Follow the instructions. When registering make sure you use a valid e-mail address as you will have to validate it to complete your registration:


3. Well done you have completed half of your registration process. Just click finish and you should receive your e-mail. You should see this:


4. Logon to your e-mail and click onto the link to activate your account. You have now registered for teamspeak.co.za.


5. After clicking onto the activation link remember to press submit at the end or it won't activate:



How to download teamspeak. (Follow the relevant illustrations)

1. Log into your newly registered account (If you don't see this, just make sure you are on the homepage):


2. Click on download:


3. Click on client:


4. Choose an appropriate download for your operating system:


5. Type in the security code and start your download by clicking "go get it":


6. Follow the instructions to complete the installation process.

7. You have now downloaded and installed teamspeak.

Registering for a teamspeak account, this is different from registering for an account on the site. (Follow the relevant illustrations)

1. Click on "TS Account", it's under the sub-heading "TeamSpeak:


2. Enter a password you wish to use for your TS Account and click "Create Account":


3. After creating an account you should be given the following information:


4. Ensure that you have your information remembered or saved somewhere safe. You have finished creating a TS Account.

Using teamspeak(Follow the relevant illustrations)

1. Open teamspeak:


2. Click on the "Connection" tab and then click "Connect", you should see this:


3. Right click "server" click on "add server" and name it anything you want, I'm going to name mine "TS", you should see this:


4. Enter the relevant information here. This is how it should look:
(I tried to match the colours according to where you should put certain information)


5. Click connect. YOU ARE NOW CONNECTED!!:

thanx a million corrupt, helps alot. also, i wasnt quite sure in the begining XACTLY where u want me to click at some points, i think u culda made circles around the xact spots maybe, in THICK RED paintzorz :>

Is a bit lazy. But each caption tells you which button to press and it's already scaled down to a few things only so i think it's fine. It's going to look a bit messy with circles, squares etc.

Help? I have registered on the site and activated but when i try do a ts account this is the K@k it gives me

Heres a tip, log in on the site, go to ts account and there should be a link at the bottom of the screen saying "quick logon to the TS server"
save this as a bookmark and WHAMMY! no more logon issues. just load it up, clcik and there you go sorted.

No such link showing, it wont even let me create a ts account, thats wat the error msg is from

Ok after you click on the activation of the e mail, scroll all the way down on the page and click submit, that should fix your problem.

yeah you have to properly activate it first. i had the same problem, hit F5 like 10 times before it worked lol.

She's fixed it now.
